Chronoswiss was established in 1983 by Gerd Rudiger Lang, who was employed in the branch of service of the Heuer-Leonidas company for a long time. When Heuer-Leonidas closed its doors, Lang was found without work, but with a lot of parts and mechanisms of clock to his credit. In the absence of a better alternative, Lang began to make clocks using these parts and mechanisms that had been in his hands when the company closed. He distinguished their clocks of the facts by the majority of other watchmakers, cutting transparent Windows in the back of their clocks, which allowed a clear view of the inner workings of their watches. Thus was born Chronoswiss. In 1988, Chronoswiss pioneered the miniaturization of the controller dial, which until then had been a common part in watches, but not in bracelet and their incorporation into regular wristwatches watches. The regulator dial is the part of the clock in which the hands hourly and minute, although they are on the same side of the same clock, run in circles different.

For Lang was a dream come true, when he finally obtained facilities for your company in the form of a large factory outside Munich. The company had passed through a long way since its beginnings in the basement of the family home until their temporary location in Elly-Staegmeyr-Strasse. This was a process that took twenty years of incredible growth and for Lang, buy your own factory was how to ensure the sustenance of the family for several generations to come. Lang now operates the factory along with his daughter Natalie, whose Office at the factory is located right in front of him. In the factory there are twelve individual workspaces and here is where precision components used to manufacture the watches are painstakingly assembled by hand, creating watches that Chronoswiss is becoming famous very quickly.
